    I have been breeding dogs for over 10 years now and have tried nearly everything to keep them tagged. I don’t cage or kennel my pups so they have free run and they get wet and chew on each other and Tab Bands are the ONLY product I have found that can take the abuse of a litter of puppies and not fall off.     I have been using these for two years now and have reordered them 3 times.We use them at our local animal shelter to identify all the cats in the communal rooms. The writing does not wash off or fade. I recommend the 20 inch length and you can just cut off the excess.
    I tried another brand but the collars twisted and the writing wore off. These collars don’t twist but stay flat and flexible. I prefer the pink, yellow,orange and white because if you write with a magic marker or a dark pen, you’ll be able to read the name easier.

    I have been using TabBand identification collars at my boarding kennel for 7 years.I can’t image a animal facility NOT using them
    Collars are remove at the time a boarder comes to my kennel for their day,over nite or extended stay , and the reason for that is any animal can get caught on the kennel, even thought the runs are professional made accidents and strange things have happened; I”ve seen it at the Veterinary hospital I used to work at. If a dog or cat “gets caught ” with the TabBand collars they rip. You are able to put information on the collars and they come in different colors. I would definitely recommend Tab Bands

The only reason i did not review this with 5 stars is that my last order was not as good of quality or possibly defective the adhesive did not work well and the bands would not stay connected.     I read all the reviews before purchasing the tab bands, there were a few negative reviews, but I dont believe them to be the fault of the tab band’s, as it was more of how they are applied and taken off by the person. My reason for trying to find new ID collars were because after 3 days or so of boarding, the collars would get so twisted that we couldn’t read the names on them..they were too thin. Since we purchased tab bands, we have not had an issue with this. They are thicker, better quality, and about the same cost as the ones we used to purchase…even if the cost was more, they would still be worth spending the extra money 🙂

    We use probably 50-100 tab bands a day to label dogs in our daycare facility. The delivery is always accurate and here within 48 hours. The bands are easy to write on with a felt tip marker and the ink doesn’t smear or get on the dogs. The collars themselves don’t irritate the dogs and are easy to put on. They’re also easy to take off at the end of the day, though some of the dogs do figure that out and pull them off of others occasionally! 🙂

    2 inches too small for most small to medium dogs. Please consider a medium size or additional length to your small size.

    Loved the white, 10″ ones so much that decided to get longer ones and in color to code the baby goats. Sometimes the 10″ ones were not long enough as collars – only worked on smaller kids. Color coding the “kids” will make it easier to match up with siblings and doe. Will cut off what I don’t need. The tabs stay on very well which is great.

    I am a Volunteer Rescue Animal Transporter and I’ve rarely seen the animals I’ve transported with any kind of Identification. No tags, often no collars at all.     I’m a supervisor for a kennel here in Phoenix, AZ. We have a yard that’s a little over an acre which allows us to have A LOT of dogs. As dogs play and rough house, the EJAY bands would fall off. The TabBands have solved this problem. It gets really hot out here in the desert so we have to keep the dogs soaking wet. The great thing about these bands is the marker doesn’t come off.     We are using this product in an animal shelter to identify several tabby cats that all look alike. It works well here but these do not break away and might be dangerous in another place. The only problem with them I can see is that the names we wrote on them with a magic marker are coming off, making them useless. Otherwise they were easy to put on and have stayed on well. RESPONSE from Mike Ferring: Vicki, we’ve sold millions of the collars without incident, so we believe you can use them without concern. However, if you want to make them breakaway, we suggest using scissors to make a small snip on the edge of the collar. Instead of using magic marker, we suggest using a common ballpoint or even a pencil. The surface of the Max collars is designed to hold the ink that’s driven into the surface.

    I’ve been using paper collars on my boarding customers for years but they crinkle up and lose identifying information or you just cannot find it in the crinkles. So I’m trying plastic ones…TabBands. So far I like them a great deal as they maintain their shape. However with the shipping added it’s mighty expensive, especially if you require 100’s. RESPONSE from Miike Ferring: Thanks, Jessica. We charge for shipping what UPS charges us, but that can be expensive if you’re ordering just 100. We recently updated our shipping options so that you can now specify USPS mail shipping and this is a very good choice for 100-count boxes or our thermal collars (and note that shipping is free for orders over $90).

We use a sharpie to write the dogs names and other necessary information and the collars typically last for the dogs entire stay. I can use various colors if I need to convey something important to the receiving location – for instance ID info on a white band and “AFRAID OF MEN” on a red band. It gives me a feeling of security knowing that the adults and pups are well & securely identified.

    These are the greatest tool to identify puppies in a litter. The velcro ones get caught on the bedding and peel off. The clip collars are more expensive and you really need two sets as they need to be washed every few days. These stay on and change easily.

    I am very impressed with these bands. For one, I can buy them in bulk. We are an animal rescue group processing over a thousand animals a year and being able to buy bands in bulk helps us reduce our operating costs. Two, the variety of colors helps to set up a color coding system that allows us to identify catagories of animals fo have to be sar treatment. The only issue we have experienced so far is that the adhesive is not as strong as we would like, however, we recognize that for the animals safety and for the majority of animals it is quite sufficient.

    This is my third or fourth order for the 20″ plastic 3/8″ bands. We use them every year to identify our lambs: orange for rams and pink for ewes. We use a labeler to put their date of birth, Dam’s name and their tag number. These are perfect as they grow, just put a new one on. By the time they leave at 6-9 weeks old, they no longer need them.     The collars were easy to write on with Ball point pen. They really helped at the vet also, since I couldn’t go inside the office with the kittens due to the Corona virus.     These ID bands worked perfectly so that this issue was not a problem. Not only did these bands hold markers used to identify kittens names, but they also provided a safe, comfortable neck band for kittens at various stages of their growth.     Our organization has been using tab bands for a long time, and we’ve always been pleased with the product and also the ordering convenience and quick shipping. We were surprised to find our most recent order arrived in cardboard packaging instead of the handy plastic trays that we’ve received in the past. For our purpose, we remove all of tab bands from the packaging upon receipt, apply a sticker to each, and (in the past) place them back in the trays (making it easy to mix/match color availability). The tray allows for easy storage, organization, and use of the tab bands. The cardboard boxes with cardboard dividers has us scrambling to make sure we don’t dispose of the old plastic trays (from previous orders), so that we can continue our normal practices. In the end, the product and service were still wonderful for this purchase, but we would love to see the old plastic trays used as packaging on future orders. Response from TabBand: We’re sorry that the cardboard boxes are proving a problem for you. We were scrambling too when our tray supplier told us it would take months longer than usual to get the plastic trays. We should be shipping with those within a month!

    It can be challanging to keep over 200 cats identified in a shelter where they all roam free. We have community living, so collars are a must. TabBand collars work great. They get wet, the cats try to tear them off, and they hold up great.

    I noticed a fellow goat breeder using these collars on their kids, so I got some, too. I like that can write any identifying information I need to see on the collar such as DOB, dam, and birth order. I got different colors to identify males and females (green and yellow). The colors are nice but I wish they were less saturated so the writing would be easier to read in low light (barn). Yellow is fine but the green is a bit too dark. The 10 in collars are just big enough for goat kids. I wish they were maybe another inch larger. Next time I would probably buy the longer ones and cut them to length. It’s a bit fussy trying to line up the sticky tab with the end of the tape to get a good length and alignment but at least the tape will come apart so it can be redone if needed. Have only been using them less than a week but so far, so good!

    These TabBands are the best to use for spay and neuter clinics. We have used them in Mexico for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. They stay on to the point if we forget to take them off or tell the “owners” to cut them off we have seen a dog walking down the street the next day with one on and we have to go get him and take it off.
    They are east to write on with a Sharpie and it doesn’t run.
    Highly recommend these for identification.

The bands have proven to be easy to put on, very safe for the kitties, and lifesaving in being able to accurately recognize who the cat is among 30 to 40 kitties. Plus, when there was problem with the order, Tiffany answered the phone right away and made sure the correct bands were received in a timely manner. These guys are good, they care about the kitties, and they have an excellent product. I fully recommend them.

    Fur Ever Friends, Unc. has used Tab Band dog and cat collars at our spay and neuter clinics for 13 years. They are quick to put on and easy to write on with a Sharpie. We have to amke sure that each animal gets back to it right owner and the tab band giveas the vet a quick easy check of what each animal needs. I love the different colors available. We use white for our friendly clients and red for those who are less comfortable with strangers. That way the vet and our volunteers know how to handle each animal and no one gets stressed or injured in the care giving process. We could not have a clinic without them!!

We do not have to worry about them coming off which is important to reunite animal and owner at a mass clinic. They come in several colors but we like the blue!

    We use these tabbands at high volume sterilization clinics. We can in take anywhere from 50 to 500 animals in a day depending on the size of the clinic. We don’t have time to mess with an inferior product. Tab bands never let us down. They are also very easy to order and ship quickly.

    Purchased a 500 pack multi color 10″ for my foster cats. I love that you can write on them with a ball point pen!!! Also, they are durable and the cats like them also. They don’t go thru that getting used to a collar phase. Great product. I would recommend for pet name collars. However, if you have big necked Tom cats or large adult cats, go to the next length of collars.
