Patient Information That Stays Protected

A patient ID band only works well when the information on it stays clear and easy to read. In busy healthcare environments, wristbands may be exposed to water, cleaning products, daily wear, and repeated handling. That can make ordinary labels harder to read over time.

TabBand Shield is designed to solve that problem by completely sealing the patient identification label beneath a crystal clear acrylic cover. Instead of leaving printed information exposed, the Shield helps protect it from moisture, smearing, and everyday wear throughout the patient’s stay.

Use the Labels and Software You Already Have

One of the biggest differences between TabBand Shield and many other patient ID systems is compatibility.

Some identification systems require proprietary software, special printers, or specific label supplies. TabBand Shield takes a simpler approach. Healthcare facilities can use any software system that produces a printed label, along with their existing printer.

Standard office labels or specialized hospital labels can both be used. Once the label is printed, it is placed inside the wristband and sealed securely on all sides.

That flexibility can make switching identification systems much easier because facilities do not necessarily need to replace the technology they already use.

More Flexibility in Band and Label Sizes

Patient needs are not one size fits all, so TabBand Shield comes in several options.

Shield medical identification wristbands are available in widths ranging from 5/8 inch to 1 1/2 inches. The standard band is 10 inches long, while 7 inch bands are available for children and 13 inch versions can accommodate larger wrists or ankle identification.

The protected identification area can also accommodate nearly any size label, giving healthcare teams more flexibility when choosing how much patient information to display.

Color Coding Made Simple

TabBand Shield patient ID bands are available in seven colors, including white. This gives facilities the option to create a color coding system that works with their existing procedures.

Color can help staff quickly recognize different classifications or categories while the printed label provides the detailed information needed for proper identification.

Designed to Last Through the Patient Stay

Replacing an identification band takes staff time and creates another task during an already busy day. Shield bands are designed to keep patient information readable so the same wristband can remain in place throughout the patient’s stay.

TabBand backs that performance with a strong guarantee. If TabBand Shield fails to provide positive patient identification throughout the patient’s hospital stay, TabBand offers a refund equal to 500 percent of the wristband cost.

For healthcare facilities looking for a patient identification band that combines label protection, software flexibility, sizing options, and straightforward use, TabBand Shield provides a practical alternative to more restrictive systems.
