Why the Closure Style Matters

When choosing pet ID bands for a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, boarding facility, or other care environment, the closure is an important part of the decision. The identification band needs to stay where it belongs without creating extra work for staff.

TabBand pet ID bands are built around adhesive closure systems that provide a simple and dependable way to secure identification to an animal.

How TabBand Adhesive Pet ID Bands Work

TabBand Max animal ID bands use a strong adhesive closure to keep the collar securely fastened. Staff can fit the band around the animal, seal it, and trim excess material when needed.

Once applied, the adhesive is designed to hold through normal activity and everyday handling. The material itself is also resistant to moisture and tearing, helping the identification remain readable throughout the animal’s stay.

This makes adhesive pet ID bands especially practical in busy environments where staff may be caring for many animals at once.

Are Non Adhesive Pet ID Bands Available?

TabBand’s current pet identification products primarily use adhesive based designs rather than traditional buckles, snaps, or other non adhesive closures.

That is intentional. Disposable adhesive bands allow veterinary clinics and animal care facilities to create a fresh identification band for each animal without managing reusable hardware.

Instead of worrying about whether a buckle is properly adjusted or whether a reusable collar has been cleaned, staff can apply a new band and remove it when the animal leaves.

Adjustable Without Complicated Hardware

Using adhesive does not mean giving up flexibility.

TabBand Max collars are available in different lengths and can be trimmed to fit smaller animals. TabBand currently offers 10 inch and 20 inch Max collars, and bands can even be combined when additional length is needed for larger animals.

This allows one straightforward closure system to work across a broad range of pets.

Simple Identification That Stays Put

For organizations comparing adhesive and non adhesive pet ID bands, the biggest consideration is usually reliability. TabBand focuses on adhesive pet identification because it keeps the process simple.

Apply the band, write the necessary information, adjust the fit, and seal it securely. There are no snaps or buckles to manage, and the collar is designed to stay readable and in place until staff are ready to remove it.
